it's not a bug, it's normal:

When I'll be able to make it work I'll include it in windows installer

Hi !

Wonder, what you consider to be normal ;-)

Anyway, ok and thanks. I'll look/wait for a pachted/newer version so.

Hi again!

Saw it very fast! But what now, what should I expect? I downloaded the newer version and it has no video :-(

Do I see it right, this way:Deleting the milestone, does not necessarily mean, the bug is fixed!?? I'll really not bother one for that, it's just, that I now what happens!

BTW, probably not veryone has this OS [and x64], so I am able to make tests, to help in such situations!!!

the new gajim installer made Gajim translatable. Video not fixed

I have the same problem in Gajim 14.3 running in Windows XP. Is there any way to fix this?

no, I tested recently, it still doesn't work, and I don't have answers to my comments.

If I understand correctly it seems like it was fixed upstream:
http://code.google.com/p/ossbuild/issues/detail?id=96
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31435

And there is also a workaround by setting the variable FS_PLUGIN_PATH.

I don't know which comment is yours, but comment #17 says this has been fixed already, is it true?

Just an FYI update in case anybody is interested: I asked ylatuya (1), about this issue via private email and this is what he had to say:

Unfortunately I haven't enough time to work on ossbuild right now, but this issue should be fixed. All you need is to build everything your self as it might not be included in the last beta installer. I'll try to get it working along this week and provide some helper scripts to package all the GStreamer stuff to the Gajim team but I can't promise anything as I don't even have time to work on my personal projects :(

  • Type changed from defect to enhancement

we have moved to farstream, so what is needed now is building farstream for windows. Help welcome.

comment:15 Changed 3 years ago by lameventanas

I just tested Gajim 0.15.4 and the bug is still there. This bug is already 3 years old, I was expecting a much faster development of a software written in python.

Did you try to ask at Farstream-devel mailing-list as this issue is of how is it possible to build farstream for windows?

Have anyone reported a bug at bugs.freedesktop.org yet?
