I 've had some issues running the Windows version, but the GNU/Linux version is working okay and has more features. Why is that?
Since most Gajim testers and developers run most of the time Gajim in GNU/Linux Operating System and less frequently on Microsoft Windows, it's likely that running Gajim in Windows is more problematic than the nearly no problems when running in GNU/Linux.
GTK+ (which is the main library for the Graphical User Interface of Gajim) is also not so stable in Windows as it is in GNU/Linux.
Windows version also lacks some features that Gajim under GNU/Linux offers (such as OpenPGP intergration, Remotely Controlling Gajim) as the libraries we use for those features aren't available for the Windows Platform yet.
So, if Gajim on Windows works for you (as it does for us, and as we try hard to work for you) very good. If it does not, then you are welcome to try running Gajim under GNU/Linux to get the full picture of what Gajim can do or stick with your OS and at your convienience report the problem to us (by clicking new ticket above). Until it is fixed you can try using another Jabber Client such as Miranda (Free Software) or Pandion (Freeware). Or, you can try and run the SVN development version, and help us to make Gajim work better on Windows.
