Chat windows are being attracted from other VDs in an evil way

If I open a chat window on VD No.5 and leave it there open/minimized, then switch to VD No.1 and someone else sends me a message, the chat window from VD No.5 is being moved to the current VD and the new message opens in another tab. If I leave a window somewhere, I want it to be there and this is how every application behaves. Chats with new contacts have to appear in new windows, in case there is no chat window open in the current desktop. I consider this of "major" severity.

if you have tabbed-ui two things can happen:

a. new tab in window and window stays in vd5 b. new tab in window and windows comes in current vd

ps. keep in mind vd5 code is not the easiest in the world, but hey we'll do it if needed [in fact there is also #472]

IMO, the window should never move desktops (choice A); at least by default.

click on roster to get pending event should move it of course to current dekstop

only autopopup should not move TC window to current desktop

ok the problem is how any WM does .present()

XFCE (Yann reports) move the window to current VD

OpenBox? (/me reports) changes active virtual desktop to show the window that was in a bg vd

this means (/me wonders) that we have to replace all .present() with possible_move_window_to_current_virtual_desktop() or how I call it :) in gtkgui helpers and if that returns None (nothing happend) then are .show() or .present()

OpenBox? has the fame to follow copmletely the standard, I wonder if standards exactly state what should happen with .present()

the same present() call applys not only to TC but to middle click in systray

I did some tests and ok I could have done sth wrong, but I saw that at least OpenBox? returns wrong wm_desktop (the vd that window is in) it was in 0 and it returing 1

I spoke with OpenBox? devs, standard does not specify what exactly should happen, and WM can even ignore such request. we are way to close to mess with WM and lose the target.

[22:30:39] asterix: what should be done is: if it's the first tab (it means the window appear for the first time) we should present() so that it's shown in the current VD
