We can do the integration, but how will it be deployed? I guess only part of the people who read this ticket will know that there is such integration and how to install it.

I dont quite undesrstand what's the problem?! There is a plugin for Gaim at http://www.galago-project.org/files/ and galago python bindings with some examples (also on that site).

I think it would only be a matter of doing it. It wont hurt if it was implemented but no one using it for now - is there any benefit of galago by now?

exactly. there are some integration of galago with evolution,beagle and AFAIR there is a gnome panel applet too.

there is no doc, test exemple doesn't work:

and it seems we have to tell galago the presence of all of our contacts ? That's a lot of thing to do, we have to tell him when one of our contact change his name too ...

We don't have enough resources to get this into 0.12. Patches are welcome :-)
