Description

There is no option to disable the divisor line in MUC chatrooms that is meant to show how much of the chat has been read before.

Not everybody thinks it's a useful feature and it may be more distracting than useful. Also, the focus out mechanics of setting the line are not reasonable for some people who use viewports and focus follows mouse.

An advanced configuration option is fine for this.

This line is smal enough to not be a distraction. And I fon't understand your focus-out problem.

The line was big enough to be a distraction for me - so big, that I had to edit it out from the source and recompile gajim. If there's a line in between the text, I will naturally use the line as a sort of a landmark when glancing at the window to see if there's anything new there - if the line changes place, I'm always rescanning things as the landmark isn't where I thought it would be.

For me, a line every 20 comments, or every 5 minutes or whatever would be immensely more useful, but no lines at all is what I pretty much want.

you don't have to recompile Gajim, but just change the muc_separator.png file in the installed folder of Gajim. Use a one pixel image to "hide" it, but I don't think we'll add an option for that.
