Description

The administration of privacy listst in Gajim is really confusing and complicated. I would rather use xml console instead, but what about common users? They have to be lost...

any suggestion ?

well, at least write there some more info like: "People in invisible list won't see you online". Also I'd make there an input (or something) to simply add one JID to one of existing lists and rest the other as "Advanced". Because when a common-user views such a complicated table, he say to himself "I don't understand" and close it straightaway.

the name invisible can be set to a list that don't do invisibility.

we can indeed add autocompletion to this entry, but that won't make this window really more user friendly. But I think the fonctionality itself is not for noobs. It's why it's in advanced section ...

End user doesn't need Privacy Lists anymore.

Indeed, you can now block users directly from roster... Without using privacy Lists window. Il you use this window, you know why and you aren't a "common" user.

You are right that we have the usable block feature by now, but the privacy window needs to be improved anyway.

Evolution does filtering rules in way that is easy to read and understand. Privacy lists could look similar.

We should have 3 lists: Visible, Invisible and Blocked. The user should be able to just assign JIDs to those. The current window should be hidden on a button advanced, where the user can create own privacy lists, just like now.
