Description

Please not use alerts for display accepted authorizations

When I connect ICQ transport I get very much alerts about each contact in my ICQ contact list.

May be display such messages as messages from special contact named 'Gajim'?

Or put message to same alert it previous not closed yet (with scroll bar inside).

I get this with a Yahoo transport too.

I want to use Gajim, but this issue renders it unusable to me.

with modern transport, (Py*-t) it works correctly as Gajim detects you just added the transport and don't show those messages ... What transport are you using ? what software is used for those transports ?

It was http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/4469143/com/pyicq-t-0.8-1.fc5.noarch.rpm.html

Even if pyicq-t-0.8a handles it correctly, it is better if Gajim take care itself too.

Another solution- show authorization granted as popup notifications (with auto disappear, like as notification when user go online).

I think that, for a normal use, this information is important, and that a popup which auto-disappear is not enough. Me may miss it.

Your other proposition about changing the text of the window to add all other authorizations is IMHO not good too. I never saw an application changing the text of a warning on the fly.

I don't understand why you see those windows if you use PyICQ-t. It's supposed to send the correct XML so that gajim detects you just added the transport. Could you show us the XML you get ?

Can't reproduce on pyicq-t-0.8a Bug was reported for pyicq-t-0.7 so it can be closet I think.
