globe icon is ambiguous

Description

The meaning of the globe icon which sometimes indicates the state of an account (in roster AND in systray) is ambiguous to me. From the beginning on I had an idea what the various colors of the usual Gajim icon mean (online, offline, away etc) but I have no idea what the globe should indicate. Additionally the same icon is used by other applications in the systray as for example Liferea. I would propose to change the icon to a more clear icon.

he is talking about the connecting icon of dcraven iconset.

As a worarround you can choose another iconset in preferences window. It sounds to me that a globe for connection is not so stupid ...

So the globe means it is work in progress? What is the difference to offline state? I got the globe icon displayed for hours and nothing happens. In case something is in progress a moving icon (like Psi displays) would make it understandable for every luser like me.

yes glob means Gajim is trying to connect. if you have it since hours, a pb appeared ... you have a Traceback ? other iconsets have animated icons. but some ppl don't like animated things so there are several iconsets for that. I close this ticket. Reopen another ticket if you find why connecting icon stays
