GPG shouldn't ask for passphrase at the beginning

Description

I have configured GPG in gajim because i have some contacts where we use GPG to encrypt messages. I'm using a GPG-Smartcard so it can happen that i don't have the GPG-Smartcard with me and want to chat and gajim will ask me for the phasphrase even if i don't want to chat encrypted. So the basic question is why gajim ask for the passphrase at the beginning? Wouldn't it be better if it would ask for the passphrase only if i want to start a encrypted conversation? Than i wouldn't get asked everytime i start gajim even if i don't want to use encryption but only at the moment i really want to use encryption and i wouldn't have to insert my GPG-smartcard everytime i get online with gajim but only if i really need it.

You have to sign your presence in order for others to initiate an encrypted chat with you.

I visited this page right now to write nearly the same. I don't want to write my password everytime gajim is started, because i don't use the encryption very often (only one of my real life buddys uses gpg - but not for im).

and answer is the same as albert's one: when you use GPG, you have to sign your presence to advertise your contacts you have GPG enabled. so to sign your presence you do have to give your passphrase ...

That can't be a bug with this ticket number.
