Any suggestions as to where? I can't find any place where "optional dependencies" belong naturally. Also, I can't find anything about optional things like zeroconf/avahi and notification-daemon and probably a lot of other things that i've seen mentioned in the room.

I installed the svn package for debian: deb ftp://ftp.gajim.org/debian unstable main

The package suggest I install python-avahi but does not suggest to install python-pyopenssl. This should be fixed.

I prefered to reopen this bug rather than open a new one. Packages for other distributions may also require some changes. The debian package should also be signed, I open a dedicated bug report for this.
