starting gajim

when i start gajim.exe on windows it says pythondll not found(it should look for python.dll or python25.dll or something like that).

gajim-0.11+gtk-2.exe, the one with gtk.

do you have a python installed ? which version ?

don't you have c:\program files\gajim\src\python25.dll ?

I have such problem with python 2.5 installed and without it too, with both gajim*-2.exe distributions (with proper gtk 2.10.6 for gajim without gtk). c:\program files\gajim\src\python25.dll presents.

Do you start gajim in startup folder ?

Could you go in program files/gajim/src and run gajim.exe from there ?

Did you upgrade from a previous version to 0.11? On my gf's laptop I had to uninstall Gajim and then remove the remaining files in C:\Programme\Gajim (German Windows version), otherwise, with a plain upgrade, Gajim would fail to start telling me about incompatible Python versions (history manager) and a missing "warning" package (Gajim itself).

I installed 0.10.1 then 0.11 over it without removing 0.10.1 before, and there was no pb. maybe it comes from older versino of gajim in which we left old file when uninstalling ?

Tigro: if you uninstall gajim, then remove program files / gajim folder, then reinstall 0.11, does it fix your pb ?

Yes! Everything work with 3 prefix version. I install gajim, having remove gajim folder before.

Same issue, same resolution.

I uninstalled Gajim, removed the "Program files/Gajim" folder and reinstalled Gajim. The "load library (pythondll) failed" does'nt popu anymore and Gajim starts well.
