Can't set advanced options in "Create Account" wizard

Reported by: junglecow Owned by: asterix
Priority: normal Milestone: 0.12
Component: dialogs Version: svn
Severity: normal Keywords: create account advanced settings
Cc: OS:

Description

When creating an account, it's not possible to set advanced options until after the account has been created. For example, when server's internal name differs from the one through which it is reachable over the Internet, you can't make a connection. (See #2671 for what happens when you try.) It's nice that you can set a different name in the configuration, but its usefulness is diminished when you can't create an account with those settings in the first place.

Possible fix: add "Create Account" button to server configuration dialog. Add "Advanced" button to wizard *before* create step, and make it open the usual server config. "Create" button could be set to hidden or grayed out after successful authentication.

Other fix: add a collapsible "Advanced" section to the wizard. Of course this means you have to maintain two dialogs with essentially the same settings.
