gajim takes much time to detect internet connection lost

Description

When I've Gajim running and disconnect from internet, Gajim still shows my buddies as online. Furthermore, I can send messages to them without getting error messages.

Usually, it takes around 10 minutes until gajim detects that internet connection is lost.

I have this too and I think it is related to the kernel. If you try to

test with GAIM the result will be the same. Jabber doesn't support ping- pong messages to verify that connection is still alive.

hope that #860 fill solve this someday
