Create a new event for new Gmail/email

Description

I currently only see a notification popup when I have a new gmail message but no sound is played. Sound works for incoming chat so it must not be using the "new message" event. I would like a separate event for new email anyway so that it could be a different sound.

sounds cool, but is too much to do just for Gmail. At least at the moment.

When they ever implement offline messages (as in before 2010) I may change my mind.

Maybe it is possible to leave some information id there is new mail. Just small notification for 5-10 senconds is not too much ... The gmail notify is great feature, but maby it can also stay as a message, or something?
