Ctrl+backspace make the buffer flicker when a word was typed in muc room dialog

Ctrl+backspace scroll to the first non-history message in room. So when we delete word, the windows scroll up and the again to the end of chat.

anyone truly understands the request? moreover is it worth it?

I don't understand. moreover there is no history messages in room, all

messages are sent from server, noone is read from log DB

Ok, i think i understood the request of the original poster.

When you are in a muc room, if you want to delete a word, you hit ctrl + backspace. But this trigger a action that scroll the buffer up ( from one screen in the buffer, from what i see ). But since this also remove a word, you immediatly scroll down.

This produces some flickering that can be unpleasant.

Step to reproduce :

• connect to a muc room
• type a word in the box
• type ctrl + backspace
