Description

And once again, libnotify got version bump. But this time, official python bindings were also released. See: http://www.galago-project.org/news/archives/2006/04/new_desktop_not.php. Support for them would be nice to have in 0.10.

no doc on website nor in tarball, only some exemples. It's a bit new to

depend on that. Of course no distro have that, so nobody will have that. It will probably come (is it synchronous or asynchronous call ?), but not for 0.10.

Gentoo has it. Debian too. There is Quodlibet plugin that uses libnotify.

If not full suport maybe possibility to run command on event?

Changed 3 years ago by jim++

Possibility to run command on event doesn't require any library. It will

be done in #1005.

I was thinking about running command as a substitute. Gajim supports

freedesktop's notifications, and libnotify's author has daemon for it working with dbus, so i think that this ticket can be closed.

Changed 3 years ago by Tomasz Torcz <zdzichu@…>

Gajim supports notifcation by directly sending them via DBUS. This ticket

is about abstracting from DBUS to official python bindings for notifications.
